Rural pensioners will be delivered to hospitals for free in Bashkiria

In accordance with the document, the list of social services provided in the territory of Bashkortostan is supplemented by a new service - delivery of persons over 65 years of age living in rural areas to medical organizations. The list of institutions is approved by the Government of the republic.

“The need for this type of support was long overdue,” commented Konstantin Tolkachev, Speaker of the republican parliament. “If the urban infrastructure, as a rule, allows getting to medical facilities without any special difficulties, then in rural areas for senior citizens, especially single people, this often becomes a real problem. Distances from district hospitals to remote settlements are tens of kilometers. The designated service will be significant support for senior citizens in need of medical care and will help many of them solve significant problems”.
