It became known which professions in Russia are most demanded

The most popular professions are named in Russia. Experts interviewed over 20 thousand companies. Besides, they took into account data on the vacancies of three popular job search services.

Checkout operators have become the most sought-after profession in Russia, «Izvestia» reported, citing the All-Russian Research Institute of Labor.

The second and third places in the rating published by the newspaper were taken by cooks and teachers of vocational training and vocational education.

The ranking also included lawyers, social workers, procurement specialists, further education teachers, and nurses. Clerks, accountants, and educators-speech pathologists close the top ten.

It is noted that almost 10% of companies experience an acute shortage of personnel in the professions in demand.

According to the publication, the data provided by the All-Russian Research Institute differ from a similar list published by the Ministry of Labor of Russia. The institute explained that they used a more extensive range of tools for ranking. The ministry, as indicated on the agency’s website, relies on information on vacancies declared only to employment services.
