UFA, 12 December 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
In Bashkortostan, it is proposed to grant paternity capital for a third child. This initiative was announced during a sectoral discussion on health issues. Alina Suleymanova, deputy mayor of Ufa and secretary of the city branch of United Russia, noted that her party colleagues would lobby this proposal. The State Assembly deputy Rimma Utyasheva recalled that in the “September” decree of the Head of the Republic, the task had been set to bring the population of Bashkortostan up to 4,100,000 people in 2024.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health RB Gulnara Zinnurova, currently, the number of preterm births is growing in the republic. At the same time, about 15% of couples in Bashkiria are reproductively-challenged. Modern technologies help out in this situation, namely IVF. In the republic, this procedure is carried out in four medical institutions.
The director of the Republican Medical Genetics Center, Ildar Minniakhmetov, noted that every year the quota for IVF covered by compulsory medical insurance was growing. If in 2013 there were about 300 quotas, then today - more than two thousand. However, as practice shows, this is not enough: waiting lists are so long that couples have to wait at least eight months. During the discussion, it was noted that today in the republic there were about 50 different measures of family social support.
Participants in the discussion announced proposals to increase pension payments depending on the number of children, provide a decent family car for large families, and expand the range of application of maternity capital.
