UFA, 9 December 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
In Bashkiria, in the next few years, 30 centers of useful daily employment for the disabled will be created. Three of them are planned to open in 2020. Such a task was set in the framework of the September Decree of the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov, Lenara Ivanova, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection RB stated at a briefing session in the Government today.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, such centers will help people with disabilities that are unable to find a job in the open labor market, be useful and preserve all the achievements of rehabilitation. Presumably, these will be workshops for the manufacture of gift products, tailoring, and repair, or work in greenhouses. Social educators, masters, instructors, and tutors will assist the disabled.
The Deputy Prime Minister also announced the data submitted by the Pension Fund of Russia for Bashkiria. So, as of August of this year, 74 thousand employable disabled people were registered in the republic, of whom 16.5 thousand were working, that is, only 22%. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, the share of working disabled people in the republic has slightly increased. Among the employees, the majority were citizens of the third group of disability - 82%, 15% of the second, only 3% of the first. In total, about 268 thousand people with disabilities live in Bashkiria, of which 17 thousand are children with disabilities.
After listening to the report of the Deputy Prime Minister, Radiy Khabirov instructed to take this issue under special control of the government and hold a coordination council of the republic on the issues of employment of persons with disabilities with the participation of all interested parties.
