Second Republican Educational Forum will be devoted to healthcare issues - Head of Bashkiria

The Second Republican Educational Forum will be held in Ufa in February and will be dedicated to children's health. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov announced it at the yesterday session of "Education Hour".

“If at last year’s forum we talked about basic things, made the decision on a five-day school week, then we propose to devote the second forum completely to health issues. In my understanding, this should be a great interagency work involving the best specialists and interesting speakers. Let's work for the future. We should understand what we will do with the medical examination of schoolchildren and students, how to maintain the mental and moral health of our children”, the Head of the region addressed the heads of ministries and departments present at the meeting.

Work in this direction is already underway, said the Minister of Health of Bashkiria Maxim Zabelin. “Together with the Ministry of Education, we organized a complete renovation of school dental classrooms, which includes not only repair but also the supply of modern dental equipment. Somewhere such offices have already begun to examine children,” the minister said. “In terms of preventive medical examination, we now conduct trilateral work with the participation of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population. Great importance is also attached to the creation of a psychotherapy center for schoolchildren and the implementation of a comprehensive program aimed at the reproductive health of girls and boys aged 12 to 18 years”.
