State Duma supported Bashkiria’s intentions and proposed to spread them to Moscow

UFA, 26 November 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection Fedot Tumusov supported the intentions of the Bashkir authorities to limit the sale of alcohol on New Year's holidays. It is reported by "Gazeta.Ru". The deputy recalled that the right to regulate the time of alcohol sale was given to Russian entities, and therefore the authorities may limit it.
“Before this, it became known that the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan plans to ban the sale of alcohol on January 3, and also to limit it to the first half of the day from January 4 to 5. Restrictions are introduced, as these days," all accidents occur - fires, drunken incidents,” Gazeta.Ru explains.
The fact that “the authorities of Bashkiria imposed a restriction on the sale of alcohol on New Year's holidays, and the State Duma supports this idea and extends it to Moscow,” was also reported by NTV, explaining that they decided to introduce such restrictions in the region “so that people don’t get drunk, and have recreation in the bosom of one's family”.
The MIR 24 television channel added on this topic that “the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, instructed the heads of municipalities to compensate for the restrictions with cultural events”.
