28-meter forest beauty was installed on Sovetskaya Square in Ufa

Last night, a New-Year tree was set up on Sovetskaya Square in Ufa. The forest beauty was met by Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden, as well as artists, journalists, and just town residents.

The 28-meter forest beauty was brought from the Blagoveshchensk district. All the way to Ufa, the New Year's symbol was accompanied by traffic police. This was preceded by work on the preparation of the foundation, which was carried out last weekend.

“New-Year tree has not been installed on Sovetskaya Square in Ufa for more than five years. But this year it was decided to renew the tradition. Now it is necessary to carry out activities to equip the New Year's ice-town, to make ice figures and slides. All work, including festive illumination, is planned to be completed by mid-December of this year”, the press service of the Ufa administration informs.

The New-Year tree on this site may have been installed for the last time before the reconstruction, the options of which are being discussed recently. For many years, it was on Sovetskaya Square that the main city New-Year tree was located. Recently, the area serves as a large free car parking.
