10 thousand social diseases were identified in Bashkiria during "Healthy Republic" campaign

In 2019, the Ministry of Health of Bashkortostan held the "Healthy Republic - Healthy Region" campaign, during which more than 105 thousand residents of the republic were able to consult specialists, undergo medical examinations and receive primary medical care.

Doctors identified more than 10 thousand social diseases during the campaign. Among them, 868 cases of diabetes mellitus, 101 - tuberculosis, 606 suspected cancer, of which 51 cases were confirmed. 8,148 patients had high blood pressure. These figures were announced today at the “Healthcare Hour” away session by the Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin.

He also noted that the Ministry of Health organized the work of visiting teams of doctors in cities and districts of Bashkiria.

The “medical landing force” of highly specialized doctors included neurosurgeons, obstetrician-gynecologists, urologists, coloproctologists, gynecologists-fertility specialists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, otorhinolaryngologists, as well as adult and pediatric cardiologists, neurologists, endocrinologists, and ophthalmologists. For the first time, the specialists of the "Mother and Child" Clinical Hospital took part in the work of medical teams.

The Head of Bashkortostan noted that municipalities should not only provide medical facilities for receiving patients - “decent accommodation for doctors and their leisure time should be organized. They carry out an essential state and social program”, said Radiy Khabirov.
