Cobblestone pavement of 18th century received cultural heritage monument status in Ufa

In Ufa, the cobblestone pavement of the 18th century along Traktovaya Street received a status of a cultural heritage object. The order of the “Bashkultnasledie” Agency is published on the portal of legal information. The pavement is subject to state protection; it can not be repaired, except for the preservation and improvement. It is forbidden to change its appearance and parameters, to litter with household waste.

The length of the old pavement is about 350 meters. It is located in the Telecentre neighborhood, on the descent to the Pravaya Belaya railway station and the Holy Cross Exaltation Cathedral. It is part of the Uritsky and Traktovaya streets.

Earlier it was reported that local residents complained to the authorities about the inconvenience of this road, asking to replace its coating. In connection with the recognition of the pavement as a monument, this will not happen. However, pedestrians do not have to walk on the cobblestones - there are paved sidewalks throughout the street.

After heavy rainfall on September 4, 2017, a fragment of the pavement collapsed. It was restored by employees of public utilities.
