UFA, 21 November 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
A native of the Bashkir city of Beloretsk, Aliya Slyakaeva was awarded the Order of Courage. The flight attendant, along with the rest of the crew of U6-178 Ural Airlines, showed heroism during and after the plane landing in a cornfield near Moscow. The Order of Courage in the framework of the "Transport Week" was awarded to other flight attendants on November 20: Dmitry Ivlitsky, Dmitry Goncharenko, Yana Yagodina, and Nadezhda Vershinina.
Besides, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Maxim Akimov and the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Dietrich handed over departmental awards “Excellent Airspace Worker” to all seven crew members.
Today, November 21, the Airbus A321 pilots Damir Yusupov and Georgy Murzin will receive the stars of Heroes of Russia from the Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
Recall that on the morning of August 15 in the Moscow Region, the Ural Airlines Airbus A321 plane crashed performing a flight from Zhukovsky Airport to Simferopol. The cause of the emergency was the entry of birds into the engines of the aircraft. 234 people were on board, no one was injured.
Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that Aliya Slyakaeva was invited to Bashkiria for presenting her the republican award.
