Mortality markedly decreased in Bashkiria year to date

Mortality decreased - to the level of 12.2 people per thousand of the population in Bashkortostan for nine months of this year. For the same period last year, the indicator was 12.6. It was announced at a briefing session in the Government RB on November 18 by the Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov.

“Mortality from external causes has significantly reduced - it decreased by almost 10 percent to the level of the previous year. Thus, mortality from road accidents decreased by 15.4 percent (a decrease of 63 people). The number of drowning decreased by 16 percent (about 40 people). It is less by 47 percent from alcohol poisoning (53 people were saved), by 37 percent from fires. The number of suicides has decreased by 30 people,” marked the head of the region. “Thus, we can record a fairly clear mortality reduction, including from external causes. And these are definitely the results of our joint work”.
