Festival of old wedding ceremonies of various nations will be held in Bashkiria

On November 16, in the Sterlitamak district, a republican festival-competition of national old wedding rituals will be held.

The festival is carried out to revive old wedding traditions, preserve the cultural traditions of peoples, their identity, tell young people the traditions and customs of peoples living in the republic.

Ethnographic and vocal groups are invited to participate. The festival competition is organized by the local department of culture with grant support from the head of the region, aimed at preserving and developing the state languages of the republic and the peoples of Bashkortostan.

Applications for participation are accepted until November 12 by e-mail mbuksrdk@yandex.ru. Detailed information about the competition can be obtained by phone 8 (3473) 26-73-78.
