UFA, 18 October 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The Russian-Israeli Medical Forum has opened in Ufa.
The delegation includes leading Israeli specialists, headed by its chief physician at the Horev Medical Center (Israel, Haifa), MD, medical doctor Roman Barak.
The main goal of the forum is to consolidate expert and scientific potential, to determine the most important areas of research and practical Russian-Israeli cooperation in the field of medical care. As part of the event, on October 18, specialists will work in the specialized sections “Cardiology”, “Oncology”, and “Pediatrics” in the Toratau Congress Hall.
On the second day, the forum will continue in the republican medical organizations of Ufa and Bashkir Medical University.
The head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov welcomed the forum participants.
“Today, our guests are leading Israeli specialists - pediatricians, therapists, surgeons, resuscitators.
We are well aware of the achievements of Israeli medicine in oncology, cardiac surgery, immunology, hematology, and some of the best professionals work in Israeli clinics. I am proud to note that among them there are many graduates of our university. Today's meeting was made possible due to our openness and, of course, the active assistance from the state of Israel, the Horev Medical Center and the Rambam Clinic in Haifa”.
The head of the region also noted that in Bashkiria they were closely following the success of world medicine, trying to adopt the best practices, and significant funds were allocated to the development of the healthcare system.
“At the beginning of 2020, a new surgical building of the Republican Oncology Center will start operating in Bashkiria. We will be able to significantly increase the volume and quality of anticancer treatment for residents of Bashkiria and neighboring regions, seriously update the radiology department, and install modern equipment in it.
We also began to build a new surgical complex and reconstruct other buildings of the Republican Cardiac Center, and this will also allow us to increase the high-tech care volume significantly. Soon, we will begin the construction of a children's oncohematological center. Construction of a hospice is also planned in Ufa, and, a long-term care system is being introduced in Bashkiria as a whole, and the quality of geriatric care is improving”, said the head of the republic.
Radiy Khabirov handed over a letter of appreciation to Roman Barak. Besides, the latter became an honorary professor at Bashkir State Medical University - the rector of the university, Valentin Pavlov, read out the decision of the academic council of the university, presented a memorable gift and gown to the doctor of medicine.
