Sculpture of mythical horse Akbuzat will be installed near Lake Yylkysykkan in Burzyan

UFA, 17 October 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The installation of a sculpture of the mythical horse Akbuzat on the shore of Lake Yylkysykkan in the Burzyansky district, near the Kapova Cave (Shulgan-Tash), is planned for November. It was announced at the first "Tourist Hour" session in the government of Bashkiria by the director of the Research and Production Center for Cultural Heritage Protection of the Ministry of Culture RB Danir Gainullin. The Shulgan-Tash Cave is the main tourist attraction of the republic. Akbuzat is a magic horse of the Bashkir epic. Now the sculpture is cast at the Kasli factory of architectural and artistic casting. Its height is projected five meters, the height of the horse is 3.5 meters.
The director of the center informed about the construction of the historical and cultural museum complex “Shulgan-Tash”, which began at the end of 2018. Now the construction site is at the stage of walls erection. The project of the museum’s exposition is created by Ufa, Moscow, and Spanish experts.
The building of the complex is planned to be completed by the end of 2020, by mid-2021 - to complete the installation of the exposition, by the end of 2021 - copies of cave paintings. Only two French companies carry out such work, and negotiations are underway with them, the director of the NPC said.
The most important task for the near future is to create a tourist infrastructure around the complex nominated to the UNESCO World Heritage List, Danir Gainullin noted. In 2017, the cave area was provided with cellular communications and the Internet; in 2018, an increase in the power supply of electricity and gas began.
“However, in general, the tourist infrastructure of the Kapova Cave should be recognized as underdeveloped, in poor condition,” Danir Gainullin believes. A unified infrastructure development plan with a parking lot, a river pier, a wild-hive bee museum, camping, etc is needed. The master development plan should be worked out by the joint efforts of the Burzyansky district administration, the State Committee for Tourism, and the center itself.
