Ufa Airport mastered new method of aircraft de-icing treatment

The Ufa Airport is preparing for the winter: more than 300 ground service vehicles went through pre-season maintenance. Four deicers were prepared for treating aircraft with anti-icing fluids. This year, a new technology for de-icing aircraft will be applied - with running engines. The new method ensures the safety of aircraft take-off in the most difficult weather conditions, the airport’s press service informs. It allows handling the board immediately before departure, which increases the effectiveness of the protection and halves the time before take-off.

Besides, anti-rodents treatment was carried out at the airport. In addition, five bioacoustic installations were constructed that reproduce the alarming signals of birds and scare them away.
