41 smart bus stops out of 106 are installed in Ufa

1215 bus stops are installed currently in the capital of Bashkortostan. In 2019, the city administration equipped 39 new facilities. This is due to the launch of public transport in new neighborhoods - Kuznetsovsky Zaton, Sputnik, Serebryany Ruchey and Yarkiy, the head of the transport and communications department Ildar Yulanov reports.

Also, they plan to establish so-called smart bus stops in the city, with an online public transport scoreboard, an emergency call button “Citizen - Police”, a Wi-Fi system. Today, 41 such smart bus stops are operating in the capital of Bashkiria. The city hall promises to bring this amount to 106.

In addition, an automated road traffic control system was introduced in Ufa, which allows you to regulate city traffic at peak times and give priority to public transport.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that since October 2018, transport reform has begun in the republic. In particular, small-class buses are being replaced with medium-sized and large-capacity buses, since July 1, 2019, a non-cash fare system and an Alga card have been operating, and an hour transfer system has started to operate at no extra charge. Until the end of the year, the Ufa authorities promise to equip all public transport with announcement devices.
