Niagara Falls was light up in Bashkir flag colors

Niagara Falls was illuminated in the colors of the Bashkir flag in honor of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This is reported by Canadian compatriots on social media.

On October 11, at 10.00 pm Canadian time (7.00 Ufa time on October 12) the Canadian part of Niagara Falls was light up in the colors of the national flag of Bashkiria - blue, white and green.

During the festive event, fireworks thundered in the sky of Canada, and the natives of Bashkortostan in national clothes sang songs in the Bashkir language on the observation platform.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the initiator of the symbolic campaign was Farida Samerkhanova - the founder of the Bashkir Kurultay of Canada.

“Bashkir Kurultay of Canada” is a public organization uniting Bashkirs, Tatars, and representatives of other nationalities to preserve folk culture and traditions. The new structure is sponsored by the World Kurultay of Bashkirs.
