Participants of Green Bashkiria campaign planted 69 thousand trees

Total, 69 thousand different trees, 38 thousand of which are large-sized trees, were planted yesterday in the cities and regions of the republic by participants of the large-scale “Green Bashkiria” campaign. 138 thousand people took part in it.

“The key goal of the campaign is to draw attention to environmental problems, landscaping cities, and villages, giving them a beautiful and attractive appearance, as well as improving the environmental situation in the republic,” the press service of the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities of Bashkiria noted.

Among the large-sized plants planted yesterday were seedlings of pine, spruce, birch, linden, chestnut, elm, pyramidal poplar, as well as shrubs: rosehip, mountain ash, and spirea. 245 thematic alleys were laid down in Bashkiria.

Recall, the head of the republic Radiy Khabirov also joined the campaign and, together with the mayor of Ufa Ulfat Mustafin, teachers, students and parents of lyceum No. 155 planted pine trees in Naberezhnaya Street in Sipailovo neighborhood. In total, more than 100 trees were planted here.

As previously reported by Bashinform News Agency, the first Green Bashkiria campaign took place in April 2019. Then more than 160 thousand inhabitants of the republic participated in it.
