Bashkir Toratau Geopark was presented at UNESCO Conference in Seville

In Spanish Seville, at the 15th conference of UNESCO European Geoparks, the Bashkir Toratau Geopark was first presented at the international level. The conference was attended by about 400 representatives of various geoparks from around the world.

The developers of the Toratau Geopark concept from the Center for the Study of the Economics of Culture, Urban Development and Creative Industries of Moscow State University presented a model for the development of the territory. Earlier, the presentation was demonstrated to the head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and at the Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Moscow.

The next step should be the development of the infrastructure of the Toratau Geopark for a comfortable visit by tourists and the revitalization of entrepreneurship.

Other Geoparks of Russia were represented at the conference, including the Yangan-Tau Geopark - the first in Bashkiria and the first in Russia with the status of a Global Geopark. At the end of November this year, the Yangan-Tau Geopark will host a Strategic Session on the Development of Geoparks, which will be attended by representatives of European Geoparks and the Russian Committee of the UNESCO International Geoparks Program.
