Republic Day celebration in Bashkiria

The next working week in Bashkiria will be short due to the upcoming festivities in honor of Republic Day. Non-working holiday - October 11 falls on Friday this year.

As the Interim Deputy Prime Minister Lenara Ivanova told at a briefing session in the government of the region, celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Bashkortostan would be planned in all cities and regions this year.

Thus, according to her, throughout the next week, cultural and sporting events, environmental events, agricultural fairs, sale of souvenirs, crafts, exhibitions of consumer goods, the opening of socially significant objects and institutions (parks) will be organized throughout the republic.

Celebrations and awards to residents of the republic who have achieved the best results in their professional activity will also be held.

“The Republican Vocal Contest “The Singing Village!” will be launched on October 11, which will continue until October 10, 2020. The “Open Day on Republic Day” will be held in all museums of the republic - everyone will be able to visit the museums of the republic for free,” added the Deputy Prime Minister.

Official celebrations in honor of the Republic Day will take place in the capital of Bashkiria on October 10 and 11. On October 11, flowers will be laid at the monuments to Shaikhzada Babich and Salavat Yulaev.

On Republic Day, festivities will be organized on Salavat Yulaev Square and in the territory of the amphitheater near the Toratau Congress Hall.

At the same time, the “Military service under contract in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - your choice!” campaign will be held in the main metropolitan square.

Next, a festive concert is prepared for the townspeople. Honored artists of the Republic of Bashkortostan Sergey Prikazchikov, founder and lead singer of the Pizza group, as well as Elvin Gray will be headliners of the concert.

The concert will end with festive fireworks and a musical laser show at 20.30.
