Ufa State Oil Technical University enters Moscow international rating “Three university missions”

Moscow international rating of higher education institutions is a principally new academic rating. For the first time it estimates all three key university missions: education, science and interaction with society. The initiative on introduction of this rating is supported by leading universities from Russia, China, India, Iran, Turkey and Japan. The rating’s methodology was widely publicly discussed in Russia and abroad with participation of more than 100 universities. This is the first global rating, which considers the third university mission. Thanks to principal novelty MosIUR has received high appreciation of experts. Thus, the president of international association of educational rating’s composers and consumers IREG Observatory Luis Claudia Costa stated: “Moscow rating opens new, the second generation of academic ratings”. The rating-2019 presents 1200 universities from 79 countries, including 74 from Russia and this is crucial improvement, compared with 2018, when the list included Top-333 of world universities. One more novelty is international expertise of rating’s results with participation of authoritative foreign experts, every expert received preliminary results of testing. Formation of the rating “Three university missions” is initiated by Russian Rectors Union in accordance with the instruction of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. Ufa State Oil Technical University joined the interval group 1101-1200 of international MosIUR rating and the interval group 59-74 among Russian institutes and it’s worth mentioning that only Ufa State Oil Technical University and Bashkir State University are included into this rating of all higher education institutions RB.
