A combustion plant can be opened in Ufa region of Bashkiria

A combustion plant expected to be opened in Ufa region of Bashkiria soon, deputy Minister for nature management and ecology RB Niyaz Fazylov reported during a “round table”, devoted to realization of garbage reform in Bashkiria and initiated by “Public electronic newspaper”. In the nearest future the project will be introduced to Bashkortostan’s Government. Talking about combustion plants the deputy Minister mentioned he supported appearance of such plants in the Republic. Moreover some Russian regions begin developing such projects and already have performed certain investigations. “The volume of necessary investments makes several billion rubles but at that the tariff for combustion can be substantial. Such plants can give electric energy as output but with such prices for electric energy this project seems to have low profit” – deputy Minister explained. As for garbage sorting, in opinion of the official an infrastructure should be implemented first and in the town of Oktyabrsky this technology is actively introduced. Moreover, this town holds the fourth place n the list of Russian cities, suitable for separate garbage sorting. In 2018 “Greenpeace” analyzed this activity in 160 Russian cities with population more than 100 thousand people. Mytishi stand on the first place, Almetievsk – the second, Volgsky – the third and Saransk – the fifth.
