Radiy Khabirov: we should solve problem with medical personnel shortage by end of year

Yesterday, Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov at the “Healthcare Hour” session stated that the republic would continue to build new clinics and hospitals and purchase new medical equipment.

“By the end of the year, we should fundamentally address the problem of staff shortages in the industry,” said Radiy Khabirov.

Today, 160 medical and obstetric centers in the republic are in dilapidated state. The head of the republic noted that work in this field should be strengthened to solve the problem of providing primary medical care in rural areas. Recall that in Bashkortostan more than 5 billion rubles are provided for the implementation of the activities of the “Healthcare” national project in 2019, of which 2.5 billion rubles are allocated from the federal budget.

Radiy Khabirov presented several doctors with certificates for a one-time cash payment for early detection of cancer.

“We made a decision that doctors and paramedics who showed attention and professionalism in identifying cancer suspicions manifestations in the early stages would receive bonuses of five thousand rubles. Therefore, I would like to thank the doctors to whom we presented the certificates today,” the head of the republic said congratulating the doctors.

According to Interim Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin, the budget of the republic allocated 30 million rubles for these purposes. Moreover, 12 million rubles have already been paid; in total more than 1,650 cases of cancer have been identified for the period from January to July this year.

Radiy Khabirov said that if necessary, budget expenditures for preventive measures would be increased.
