99% vaccination protects against flu complications - doctors

The vaccination campaign has begun in Bashkiria. On August 29, the first batch of vaccine arrived in the region - 180 thousand doses. You can get them for free in clinics. According to the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in Bashkortostan, the federal budget purchased 1.83 million doses of the domestic trivalent influenza vaccine for the republic, designed to vaccinate 45% of the population.

The epidemic of viral diseases is traditionally expected in January-March, so it should be vaccinated before the end of December. Vaccine without preservatives was purchased for infants and for pregnant women. This year it is supposed to vaccinate 5 thousand pregnant women, last year only 1 thousand expectant mothers agreed to vaccinate.

From this year, apart from medical and pedagogical workers, people over 60 years of age and people with chronic diseases, drivers of public transport are subject to mandatory vaccination.

The vaccine for the current season, according to the forecasts of epidemiologists, will protect against strains A/Brisbane/02/2018, H3N2 - A/Kansas/14/2017, B/Colorado/06/2017. The other day in Russia, the use of an innovative tetravalent vaccine began; it contains two strains of group A and two strains of group B.
