White doves were launched into sky in Ufa in memory of Beslan tragedy

In Ufa, in memory of the tragedy in Beslan, white doves were launched into the sky. September 3 was declared Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism in Russia and is a memorable date in the Russian calendar. These days in 2004, 334 people, including 186 children, were killed by militants.

In memory of this tragedy on September 3 "We are Against Terrorism" campaign took place in front of the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan" in Ufa. The event was attended by over 300 people, among whom were representatives of state power, students of educational institutions of Ufa, volunteers, leaders, and representatives of national-cultural associations.

The participants honored the memory of those who died with a moment of silence and around 1.05 pm - during the explosion of the first bomb in the gym of the Beslan school - white doves were launched into the sky as a symbol of a peaceful and bright sky above their heads, friendship and desire for good.

The organizers of the campaign are the Ministry of Culture RB, the House of Friendship of Peoples RB, M.Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University.
