Doctors visits to rural areas are in high demand - Liliya Gumerova

On September 3, residents of the Khaibullinsky district had appointments with doctors from leading republican clinics at the Akyar Central District Hospital. The initiator of the visit was the Senator from Bashkortostan, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture Liliya Gumerova.

Total, about 350 citizens had appointments with doctors, 105 of them regarding the treatment and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.

“One of the priorities of state policy is to provide prompt medical care to the population. There are quite remote territories, the majority of which residents do not have an opportunity to get to the capital’s hospitals and medical facilities for appointments with highly specialized doctors. Therefore medical visits to districts and villages are very popular and allow rendering prompt assistance to the population. Senators often receive requests to organize such trips”, said Lilia Gumerova.

The Senator also met with parents raising disabled children. The issues of providing medicines and technical means of rehabilitation, organization of rehabilitation and treatment of children with disabilities in medical centers were discussed. Following the meeting, Lilia Gumerova noted the need to create a republican list of rehabilitation measures and services provided to people with disabilities, as well as more often to practice visits to rural areas.

Then, during a trip to the district, Liliya Gumerova visited school number 2 in the village of Akyar, examined the activities of a social shelter for children and adolescents.
