Over 400 works were submitted to photo contest for 100th anniversary of Bashkiria

The Public Chamber of the region has completed accepting applications for the first republican photo contest dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan. The contest participants were 238 people from cities and regions of the republic, who sent 425 pictures in 4 nominations. The youngest participants are 5 years old; the oldest is 70 years old. The nomination “Green Bashkortostan” turned out to be the most popular among the residents of the republic. The 168 photos submitted to the organizing committee of the contest show all the natural diversity of our region - reservoirs, rivers, springs, nature parks, mountains, plants, natural phenomena, insects.

The second most popular was the “Energy of Life” nomination - 109 photos. Mass sports, cultural, ethnic events that took place in the territory of Bashkortostan fell into this category.

Photos sent in the nomination “Heart of the People” (67 applications) reflect the spirit, rites, traditions of the Bashkir and other peoples living in the republic. This is plucking geese, and the path to the spring with the yoke on the wedding day, Sabantuy, village holidays, city day and Victory Day. In the same category, you can see beekeepers, horse pastures.

The real photo-encyclopedia of natural monuments, architectural monuments, sculptures was seen in the nomination "Historical Heritage". Most often, the photos showed the Shihan of Toratau, Yuraktau, Kushtau, Shulgan-Tash caves and its environs, a monument to Salavat Yulaev, as well as mosques, temples, cathedrals, holy mountains, gorges and springs, ancient buildings, water towers and much more. 81 photographs were submitted in this category.

Until September 30, 2019, the Public Chamber will consider the works and determine the winners of the competition. Authors of the most worthy works will receive prizes and diplomas.
