White doves will be launched into sky in Ufa in memory of Beslan tragedy

September 3 is declared Solidarity Day in the Fight against Terrorism in Russia and is a memorable date in the Russian calendar. On September 1, 2004, militants captured a whole school in Beslan (North Ossetia), having killed 334 people, including 186 children. On September 3, in memory of this tragedy at 1.00 pm in front of the Bashkortostan State Concert Hall, white doves will be launched into the sky as a symbol of a peaceful and bright sky above their heads, friendship and desire for good. Everyone who wants to support the campaign is encouraged to join.

“On this day, our country remembers the victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan and bows its head in memory of all the victims of the terrorist aggression that our multinational people have ever encountered,” the press service of the Ministry of Culture states.

Organizers of the campaign are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after Akmulla.

The Nesterov’s Bashkir Art Museum will also hold a campaign on the Solidarity Day in the Fight against Terrorism.
