Wild-hive Beekeeping Museum project is presented in Ufa

In Bashkiria, they intend to create a museum of wild-hive beekeeping. Its construction is planned in preparation for the 47th Apimondia International Apiculture Congress, which will be held in Ufa in 2021.

As the Bashinform Agency was informed in the Republican Scientific and Production Center for the Protection and Use of Immovable Cultural Heritage Sites, the project for the future museum was developed by the “Archtamga” Expert Design Bureau under the scientific supervision of the center specialists. As conceived by the architects, the museum building is an image of a wild hive and has an atypical cylindrical shape with a flat roof.

It is planned that the building’s facade will be styled as a “honeycomb”. Materials, textures, and colors are close to natural - textured plaster imitating the bark of a tree and smooth plaster are used. Tourists will move around the museum through a spiral staircase.

Bashkortostan will host the 47th Apimondia International Apiculture Congress in 2021. It is expected that about 10 thousand participants from 80 countries will come to the republic. Prior to this, Russia accepted the International Beekeeping Congress only once - in 1971, the forum was held in Moscow.
