The Europe-Asia Bicycle Path development project won a grant competition of the head of Bashkortostan in the Active Republic nomination. The grant sum amounted to 773.5 thousand rubles. This was reported to the Bashinform News Agency by the project manager Ksenia Salazanova, chairman of the bicycle tourism commission of the Sports Tourism Federation RB, member of the Bashkir branch of the Russian Geographical Society.
“The Europe-Asia Bicycle Path is a unique project with no analogs in Russia!” said Ksenia Salazanova.
As the Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the path runs from west to east of Bashkiria through the settlements of Abdulino, Aksakovo, Davlekanovo, Ufa, Asha, Kropachevo, Berdyaush, and Miass. In 2019, 686 km of the track go over the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Chelyabinsk region.
As the initiators of the project mark on their website, “the goal is to build a bicycle path throughout Russia, connecting Europe and Asia. Each site is interesting in its own way, everywhere there are noteworthy places. ”
A map with a detailed description of the route and all exciting objects on the way is posted on the project website. In the "western" part of the path there are sights: the apartment-museum of Florenty Kazantsev, the inventor of the automatic railway brake, the Temple of Alexander Nevsky (Abdulino), the Aksakovs Estate and the Church of Dmitry Solunsky (Nadezhdino), the village of Usen-Ivanovskoye, Lake Aslykul, the swamp Berkazan Kamysh, the old Mill in Durasovo, blue lake.
The "eastern" part, which runs along one of the most picturesque places in Bashkiria and the Chelyabinsk region, covers Red Rock, a pond and a church in Minyar, Nikolsky Bridge - one of the oldest railway bridges in the country, Simskaya station photographed by Prokudin-Gorsky, Idrisovskaya Cave , Yuryuzan river, Laklinsky cave, Sikiyaz-Tamak cave complex, Aysky tributaries, Porozhskaya hydroelectric power station, Zlatoust, border between Europe and Asia, Lake Turgoyak.
The route is designed in such a way that there are no hard-to-reach sections, except for a couple of small rivers that can easily be waded. In cities along the route, there are hotels and cafes. For convenience, the section of the route is divided into seven segments, the endpoints of which are connected to railway stations.
