Radiy Khabirov instructed new Ecology Minister to be engaged in solving illegal mining issues

Today, at a briefing session in the Government of the republic, the Acting Head of the region outlined the priorities facing the new head of the Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology of Bashkiria. Last week the post of the Interim Ecology Minister after the resignation of Mirkhaydar Fathullin was taken by the former judge of the Arbitration Court Ural Iskandarov.

“I would like your ministry to be more proactive in protecting the interests of the republic and its inhabitants,” Radiy Khabirov addressed him.

The head of the republic noted that he expects, in particular, more intensive work of the Ministry in terms of suppressing the facts of illegal mining of natural stone. Among the latest examples, he cited the detention on August 8, Chelyabinsk company workers who mined flagstone without a license in the Beloretsky district of Bashkortostan. The director of the enterprise was previously convicted for deforestation.
