Radiy Khabirov spoke about his intention to open Nikolai Valuev boxing school in Ufa

On August 4, in Ufa, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov attended a boxing master class for young athletes at the Sports Training Center RB.

The training was conducted by the deputy of the State Duma of Russia, the world boxing champion in heavyweight Nikolai Valuev.

According to the head of the republic, in the near future, Bashkortostan will defend its right to conduct sports competitions of the highest level. New modern sports venues will be built in the region to this end.

“If we talk about the republic and Ufa, we will have a lot of sports facilities. The Wrestling Palace project, which will be fitted for boxing competitions also, is nearly completed. Another venue for large tournaments will appear at the new volleyball arena”, said Radiy Khabirov. “Besides, we are currently negotiating, and in fact, there is already a decision by the international wrestling federation to hold the World Championship in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling among juniors in our republic in 2021.”

The Acting Head of Bashkortostan added that the opening of the Nikolai Valuev’s boxing school in Ufa was under discussion. The new Sports Training Center in Zaton is considered as its location.

At the end of the master class, the head of the region and Nikolai Valuev, together with the coaching team, talked with young athletes, and also discussed pressing issues of the boxing sphere.
