"Combating Cardiovascular Diseases" regional program is launched in Bashkiria

In 2019, Bashkiria adopted a regional program "Combating Cardiovascular Diseases". It was developed by the regional Ministry of Health and the Republican Cardiological Center.

“The relevance of the project is justified by a high mortality rate from circulatory system diseases, which is about 50% of all causes. Four times more men than women die from cardiovascular diseases at working age. Cerebrovascular diseases and coronary heart disease are among the disorders that take the lives of the largest number of people, ”doctors explained.

New equipment, including angiographs, computer, and magnetic tomographs will be purchased as part of the program for medical institutions. This, according to the program developers, will increase the proportion of diagnosis and treatment. The city emergency care hospital has already purchased an expensive neurosurgical microscope.

As part of the "Health" national project, mobile medical complexes will operate, new technologies for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases will be introduced and the technical base of hospitals will be strengthened in the republic until 2024.
