Ufa residents invited to watch Moon and Jupiter through telescope

In July this year the 50th anniversary of the famous flight of the Apollo 11 spacecraft is marked. The main objective of this mission was the landing of astronauts on the moon. Neil Armstrong, who took the first step on the Moon, spoke of the importance of this event: “This is a small step for humans, but a giant leap for all of humanity.”

On the anniversary of the flight on the night of July 12-13, the whole planet will be observing the moon through telescopes at the initiative of French scientists. The Ufa City Planetarium also takes part in the campaign called “On the moon again” and invites everyone on Friday, July 12 to look at our satellite, as well as on Jupiter through telescopes.

Observations will take place on the square in front of the planetarium, they will be free of charge and will take place only in clear weather. The beginning is at 22.00. The duration of observations - 2.5 hours, the planetarium representatives report.
