Videos by Ufa students - winners of "Volga - Yangtze" international competition

Students of Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) - activists of the M2 media center, became 3rd degree laureates of the international Volga-Yangtze video contest, which was held in the city of Chengdu (China) from June 27 to July 6. Students Violetta Gaysina, Camila Valitova, Daria Garanina prepared a video on the theme of the competition - “My beloved Volga and Yangtze” in Russian and English.

The competition is held by the Volga-Yangtze Association of Universities, which includes BSMU and partner universities of China - Sichuan University, Nanchang University and the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Jiangxi). The years 2018 and 2019 have been declared as “Years of Interregional Cooperation” in Russia and China. Besides, in 2019, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China is celebrated.

In March 2019, the Volga-Yangtze Association, as an important platform for educational cooperation, announced an international competition in student videos to deepen understanding and create a humanitarian cooperation bridge between the regions of the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation and the provinces of the Upper and Middle Yangtze River of China People's Republic.

According to the results of the online voting, the BSMU team became a finalist of the competition. The students were invited to the Volga-Yangtze University Association's youth camp, they visited the Chengdu City Museum, the base for studying and breeding large pandas, visited the Medical Museum at the Huashi Institute, the Museum of Traditional Medicine, and the Museum of Sichuan Cuisine.

At the closing ceremony of the Youth Camp and the presentation of awards to the winners of the International Video Competition, Ufa students danced the national Bashkir dance “Burzyanochka”, the press service of the Belarusian State Medical University reported.
