New investor will allocate 100 million rubles for Ar-Raheem Mosque construction in Ufa

Bashkir authorities have agreed with a new investor to continue a long-term mosque construction in Ufa. The Acting Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, reported about it live on the radio station Ekho Moskvy in Ufa. According to the head of the region, “one major company” is ready to allocate 100 million rubles for these purposes.

“Negotiations are underway with other large companies,” said Radiy Khabirov. “The development of construction was hampered by internal conflict in the Muslim Spiritual Authority of the Republic. There were quite significant financial differences. As there were also facts of a rather negligent attitude towards the fund’s money”.

The Acting Head did not specify the terms of the Ar-Raheem Mosque construction completion but indicated that the new agreement with the Ural Foundation, which was once the sole sponsor of the mosque construction, would be re-signed.

The construction of the largest mosque in Ufa began in the mid-2000s.
