Longest wooden bridge in Russia collapsed in Beloretsk

In the city of Beloretsk, one of the main sights of the city broke down - the bridge over the local pond, which has the fame of the longest wooden bridge in the country. Eyewitnesses spread on social media photos of the collapsed bridge, where one of the scenes of the cult Soviet serial “Eternal Call” was filmed in the 70s.

As reported on isilgan.ru, the bridge with a length of 550 m was built in the 30s of the last century and for a long time belonged to Beloretck Metallurgical Complex, which kept it in good condition. Then the bridge became ownerless, neither belonging to the metallurgical Complex nor the municipality. In recent years, the authorities have banned access to the bridge due to its dilapidated condition. As reported two years ago by the Bashkortostan state TV and radio company, the repair of the bridge required 30 million rubles, demolition - 4 million rubles.
