US Federal Court transferred Ufa native to Danbury prison

UFA, 2 July 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The US federal court transferred the Russian woman born in Ufa Bogdana Osipova to another correctional institution, where she will serve her primary term for abducting her own children. The mother of many children (Bogdana has three children) left Leavenworth Prison in the state of Kansas and soon will be in the Danbury high-security prison in Connecticut.
According to TASS, Osipova moved to America 15 years ago, married an American and received the second citizenship. Bogdana has two joint children with Brian Mobley but later divorced him. Being pregnant, in 2014, the Ufa native took a one-year-old daughter and went to Russia, where she gave birth to a second girl. However, Mobley received custody of the children in court. When the Russian woman returned to the United States in 2017, she was arrested and charged with the abduction of children.
During the trial, Osipova agreed to return her younger daughters to America. However, the Russian court did not give permission for their exportation abroad. Now the children are living at the convict’s aunt. As a result, the US court sentenced Bogdana to seven years in prison. After her release, she will be supervised for another three years. Also, the woman will have to pay the former spouse 18 thousand dollars of legal costs.
“Danbury” is a high-security US federal prison where thousands of convicts are serving sentences. Currently, a Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, convicted for participating in a conspiracy to smuggle drugs, is serving a sentence in the same correctional institution.
