The Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov instructed the Ministry of Health to eliminate the shortage of doctors in the city of Salavat, the third largest city of the region. The Interim Minister of Health RB Maxim Zabelin announced at a briefing session in the government that amid reduction of the shortage of doctors in the republic, four doctors quit their jobs in Salavat during the last quarter.
The head of the republic instructed to conduct a field visit of the Ministry of Health to Salavat to discuss the whole range of issues in the field of medicine, and also to gather information from all cities and districts on planned measures to reduce the staff shortage.
The Acting Head of the republic ordered to fill the number of left specialists at the ambulance station urgently, so that it would not affect the quality of work.
In mid-September, when graduates of medical universities and colleges are employed, the head of the Ministry of Health will again deliver a report on this topic.
In the republic as a whole, the shortage of doctors and health workers is gradually reduced. According to the Ministry of Health, from October 1, 2018, to May 31, 2019, 230 new doctors were recruited, 80 of them in primary care.
On behalf of Radiy Khabirov, the Republican Ministry of Health is accepting documents from school leavers who have expressed their desire to participate in the competition for employer-sponsored positions. Already, 1,200 applications have been submitted to 411 state-sponsored places. Currently, Bashkir State University is in the process of primary accreditation of graduates. Besides, 103 paramedics from medical colleges will receive two specialties - “Medicine” and “First Aid and Emergency”.
“We allocate from the budget almost 300 million rubles to attract doctors to the primary care, highly specialized doctors,” summed up Radiy Khabirov. “I am glad that for the first time in many years, we have stopped the negative trend of the personnel outflow from health care. Now it is important to improve the quality of medical care. ”
