Nikolay Patrushev estimated International Meeting in Ufa as “perfectly organized event”

On June 20, in the Ufa "Toratau" Congress Hall, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev appreciated the hospitality of the host city and thanked the residents of the capital of Bashkortostan for their warm welcome at the 10th International Meeting of High Representatives Responsible for Security.

“All the participants with whom I had an opportunity to communicate, and that actually was a fairly wide circle of communication; they highly appreciated the warm welcome and cordiality of the residents of the city. Moreover, they are very grateful to the leadership of the republic and to the volunteers who participated in our work. They believe that this event has an exemplary organization. I also want to thank all the residents of Ufa,” said the Secretary of the Russian Security Council.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, the three-day forum in Ufa brought together representatives from 119 countries from Europe, America, Africa, the Persian Gulf, the Middle East, Southeast, and Northeast Asia and other regions of the world. These were secretaries of security councils, ministers, presidential aides and prime ministers for national security, heads of special services. The rest of the countries were represented at the level of their deputies or ambassadors.

Delegates discussed the issue of ensuring national security and sustainable socio-economic development of states in the face of growing hybrid threats, international cooperation in the field of emergency humanitarian response and the prospects for its development at the present stage in the interests of maintaining strategic stability. "Round tables" were devoted to enhancing international cooperation in combating the terrorist ideology and countering the self-radicalization of single terrorists, the system of international information security as a guarantor of strategic stability and equal partnership in the global information space.

As part of the event separate informal meetings in the format of BRICS and "Russia - ASEAN" were conducted, meetings were held with representatives of the African continent. Dozens of bilateral talks between Nikolay Patrushev and foreign partners took place.
