Birsk is preparing to celebrate Family, Love and Fidelity Day

This year it is planned to celebrate the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity in Birsk. The holiday was established in Russia in 2010 in honor of the saints Prince Peter and his wife Fevronia, who patronized the family and marriage in the Orthodox tradition. On this day, weddings, festivals, and concerts are traditionally held all over the country.

On July 8, a colorful family festival will be organized on October Square in Birsk, next to the Trinity Cathedral. The details of the upcoming grand event were discussed at the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Security RB.

The festive day will feature a mix of historical, cultural, Orthodox, family, craft and even gastronomic traditions.

On the stage of the large family holiday, parents who have distinguished themselves in raising children will receive a state award - the “Parental Valor” Medal. Also, guests of the festival will share the joy of happy couples of marital longevity. Spouses will be awarded medals "For Love and Fidelity". The winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian contest "Family of the Year" will receive awards.

On the day of the festival, the relics of Saints Peter and Fevronia will be in the Trinity Cathedral, which from ancient times were considered patrons of family and marriage in Russia.

The guests of the festival will able to enjoy the performance of the best creative teams of the republic and family duets. The beautiful creative married couple Anton and Victoria Makarskys will be the headliner of the Family, Love and Fidelity Day. The holiday will be closed with festive fireworks.
