Mortality rates decreased by 3.5% in Bashkiria for five months of this year

UFA, 13 June 2019. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
A decrease in the overall mortality rate is observed in the republic. In the five months of this year in Bashkiria, it decreased by 3.5% compared to the same period in 2018. In the structure of total mortality, the share of circulatory system diseases was 48.3% for four months of 2019. However, it increased by 15.5%, compared with the same period last year. The mortality rate from diseases of the circulatory system during the analyzed period also increased by 16.1% and amounted to 614.7 per 100 thousand population. These data were announced by the Acting Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin today at the visiting session of the “Healthcare Hour”, which was held at the Republican Cardiology Center.
"The increase in mortality from diseases of the circulatory system, against the background of reducing mortality from all causes (by 2%), could be influenced by subjective reasons related to the coding of causes of death, as well as to the accounting system for the nervous system diseases", said the head of department.
At the same time, the number of deaths from cardiovascular diseases at working age decreased by 7%.
The minister named the problems that should be solved by the medical organizations of the republic. This is a violation of patients routing, delaying hospitalization, low efficiency of follow-up of patients with coronary heart disease and low adherence to treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
According to Zabelin, the work of the primary vascular departments is not very effective, where the rate of mortality from myocardial infarction is high. Therefore, patients with acute coronary syndrome are planning to be hospitalized directly to regional vascular centers. In addition, in Ufa, which has several angiographs, it was decided to admit patients to hospitals according to a “free operating room” principle.
Four primary vascular departments in the cities of Beloretsk and Oktyabrsky will be equipped with angiographs in 2019, the city of Kumertau in 2020, and Sibay - in 2021.
Soon, nine reanimation ambulance cars will be purchased - one for each medical district for medical evacuation of patients.
