Bashkortostan will allocate more than 1.8 billion rubles for fight against cancer in 2019

As part of the "Health" national project, this year, more than 1.8 billion rubles will be spent on the fight against cancer in Bashkortostan. The funds will be directed to re-equip specialized medical institutions, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic. 651 million rubles from these funds are allocated by the budget of Bashkortostan.

In 2019, a regional program to combat cancer will be developed, under which four outpatient oncological care centers will begin to function. They are created at large multi-profile hospitals in the cities of Ufa, Oktyabrsky, Neftekamsk, and Kumertau. It is also planned to re-equip the republican oncological center and three medical organizations with diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, and 67 units of specialized equipment will be purchased.

Total, 175.1 billion rubles will be allocated for the implementation of national projects in Bashkortostan.
