Alcohol sale is prohibited in Bashkiria on Sabantuy festivals, on Youth Day and on September 1

Today, deputies of the State Assembly RB adopted a law aimed at restricting the sale of alcohol during the days of Sabantuy in cities and villages of Bashkiria. Alcohol is also banned from selling on Youth Day (June 27), Knowledge Day (September 1, and if September 1 falls on Sunday, then September 2)

Amendments to the republican law “On regulation of activities in the production and circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and on limiting consumption (drinking) of alcoholic beverages in Bashkortostan” also increased the current ban on the daily sale of alcohol to three hours, setting it from 10 pm to 10 am (instead of the current from 11pm to 8 am).
