Council for civil society development will be created under head of region in Bashkiria

At the fifth Civil Forum in Ufa, a decision was made to establish a council for the civil society development under the head of the region. The idea was personally supported by the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov.

It should be noted that the fifth Civil Forum in the regional capital was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republic and the 10th anniversary of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Bashkortostan. 1,300 people from Bashkiria, Chuvashia, Samara and Ulyanovsk regions, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and other regions participated in it. The key topic was the state support measures for the non-profit sector and mechanisms of public control at the local and regional level.

Also, the Acting Head of the region instructed to elaborate a “clear and fair scheme of grants distribution”, the development of social entrepreneurship (for example, tax preferences) and bonuses for admission to universities for volunteers.

“They are such bright guys, who do so many good things,” said Radiy Khabirov. “Therefore, when a volunteer enters a university, we understand that he will be not just a professional, but a decent, good person after the graduation”.

Also, the head of the republic presented state awards to public figures and representatives of non-profit organizations.
