About 150 thousand rubles were raised for #ufataktilnaya project on 1000 Cyclists Day

In Ufa, about 150 thousand rubles were raised for a charity project #ufataktilnaya on the 1000 Cyclists Day. This was told by the project manager Alina Khabirova. Eighty-five thousand were received from the sale of “vanity plates” when registering for the bicycle festival, 18.5 thousand from handmade crafts at a fair, plus a part of the funds were raised from the sale of corporate packages to the participants.

The collected funds will be used to create a tactile infrastructure for children with disabilities. The #ufataktilnaya project implemented by the "Breaking Barriers" center - it is accessible tactile children’s mini-parks in city parks and squares. The first such complex should soon open in Yakutov Park. Another park is next in line, perhaps it will be located in the northern part of Ufa or Dema neighborhood. The center addressed the city administration with such an initiative.

In addition, the creation of a tactile wall for children with disabilities, pupils of the correctional boarding school N92, has begun.

The Day of 1000 Cyclists took place in Ufa on Sunday and gathered about 30 thousand residents of the city, 12 thousand of which rode bicycles from the City Council to Vatan Park. The bicycle festival was held in the city for the ninth time, with each year the number of its participants increases.
