5th Civil Forum of Bashkortostan Republic opened in Ufa

The 5th Civil Forum of the Republic of Bashkortostan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republic and the 10th anniversary of the Public Chamber RB, began its work in the Ufa Congress Hall “Toratau”. Over 800 people became its participants.

The main purpose of the forum is to ensure the effective interaction of civil society institutions, government bodies, local governments, to identify and support the most effective practices of civic engagement.

The main result of the forum should be the development of new mechanisms of interaction between the authorities, the public, non-profits, and the media.

As Sergey Gabestro, executive director of the Sotravodnichestvo Foundation, developer of project support systems that apply for presidential grants, noted in a congratulatory letter, creating a comfortable social environment in Russia is the main task facing society, government and socially responsible business. According to him, "a special mission in this activity falls on activists, non-profit organizations and public associations, and the 5th Civil Forum should become a platform for an open and effective dialogue."

As part of the Civil Forum, agreements on cooperation and collaboration with public chambers of the Samara and Ulyanovsk regions were signed. As well as an award ceremony based on participation in the implementation of the Federal project “Great Names of Russia” took place.
