1.5 million residents of Bashkortostan collected 480 thousand cubic meters of garbage at volunteer cleanups in April

More than 1.55 million residents of Bashkortostan collected almost 482 thousand cubic meters of garbage at the volunteer cleanups in April, the Interim Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Housing and Communal Services, Mikhail Kireev said at a briefing session at the Government. Environmental activities were conducted in all 63 municipalities of the region.

One hundred sixty-four themed alleys appeared in the republic, 35 thousand large-sized trees, and 10.6 thousand shrubs were planted. According to the Ministry of Forestry, on a single day of the “Green Bashkiria” campaign, seedlings were planted on 400 hectares of land (270 hectares of forest fund and 130 hectares in municipalities). 2.5 thousand large-sized trees and 221 bushes were planted in Ufa.

Radiy Khabirov suggested holding landscaping campaigns not only in spring but also in autumn.
