Ufa will host 5th Civil Forum on May 27

On May 27, the 5th Civil Forum of the Republic of Bashkortostan will be held at the “Toratau” Congress Hall in Ufa.

Traditionally, active citizens, non-profit organizations, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the region, guests from neighboring subjects of the Volga Federal District are participating in the event.

“The forum is held for the purpose of constructive cooperation of the government and civil society, in order to increase interest in the activities of the nonprofit sector in solving the socio-economic and cultural-educational tasks facing the republic,” said Olga Panchikhina, the chairman of the Public Chamber of the region. “The event provides an opportunity to identify the best practices of civic engagement in the republic, to get acquainted with social projects.”

According to the public figures, the participants in each of the sections of the forum will submit their proposals to the final document of the forum.

The 4th Civil Forum was held in Ufa two years ago, in May 2017, together with the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, Issues of Public and Religious Associations, the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection RB.

In 2018, a “Community” Forum was held in the republic, organized by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Public Chamber of the region.
