Bashkiria head ordered to establish parking discipline

On April 15, in Ufa, at a briefing session in the Government of the republic, the Head of the Region, Radiy Khabirov, thanked colleagues for the adopted law on fines for parking on lawns, children's and sports grounds, noting that it was essential to establish a parking discipline.

“Our task is to establish order with the parking discipline and culture in the republic. I assure you that it will not take much time if the administrative commissions work normally, ”said Radiy Khabirov, stressing that the municipalities should take systemic approach to the issue of parking spaces in cities.

The Interim Housing and Public Utilities Minister RB Mikhail Kireev reported that 74,329 posts, 129-meter-long structures would be installed on the lawns in the republic, and 23,398 parking lots would be arranged.

“There are town-planning standards on the conformity of the number of residents in cities and towns to the number of parking spaces. I asked to address this issue. When will we have a picture of compliance?”, Radiy Khabirov asked. He instructed the Interim Housing and Public Utilities Minister RB Mikhail Kireev to make a report in terms of compliance with the standards on April 29. “Every city should do a lot of work in this direction, ”said the head of Bashkortostan, having added that parking lots should be up to date.
